Pathfinders is a worldwide program organised and directed by the Youth Ministries Department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It has spread to 80% of the world with currently 1.1 million members.

Pathfinders offers a wide range of learning experiences that are designed to shape positive values and enable young people to reach their full potential. Much of the program has to do with outdoor/nature activities which assist in developing self-confidence and an appreciation of God's creation. Such activities include camping, hiking, canoeing and expeditions.

The course offers 6 levels, with the final level designed for those who would like to be involved in Pathfinder leadership. Special interest activities are also available where Pathfinders are able to focus on areas that appeal to them.

Clubs are run by local Seventh-day Adventist churches and schools, but membership is open to youth of any faith-groups aged 10 to 15 who promise to abide by the Pathfinder Pledge and Law.

P A T H F I N D E R   P L E D G E

Loving the Lord my God, I will
Daily seek His presence,
Show friendship to others,
Keep the Pathfinder law,
And honor my country.

P A T H F I N D E R   L A W

The Pathfinder law is for me to:
Look for the good in others,
Aim to do my best,
Love and respect my family,
Be thankful for what I have,
Preserve God's creation,
Take care of my health,
Be involved in my church,
Go where He sends.
