damascus centre

Our vision is to create the Damascus Centre as a youth outreach centre involving our youth to reach out to at risk youth in the community. The five pathways of the Damascus Centre are:
discipling and training our youth to reach out and make more disciples just like Jesus taught his disciples.

building up at risk youth in our community to be resilient to negative events.

restoring through creative arts (music, graphics, drama), and counselling to build self-esteem.

worshiping We want ever young person who comes to the Damascus Centre to have their own Damascus Road experience where they have the opportunity to meet and respond to Jesus and become part of a worshipping community.

caring Modelling God’s love, mercy and grace is essential to the Damascus centre to ensure it will be a place where creative hospitality and care will be experienced as part of the love of Jesus.

getting started
To implement this vision we must first take consideration on how we will have the manpower to run such a program. The first step in setting up the Damascus Center will be in starting RECON ministry. The objective of RE-CON is to get our youth interested in some kind of ministry, such as street, or counseling or just supporting it in different ways. We also want our youth to be aware of the street culture so they won't be at risk of harm and so that when the Damascus Centre is operational we will have trained and experienced young people who are skilled at relating and being real to at risk young people. Thus the first step on the road to Damasucus is recon.
